Who Is?

Adam Kinner is a saxophonist and composer who has been living in Montreal since 2002. He performs regularly on the jazz, rock, hip hop, avant-garde and contemporary music scenes. His collaborations include: Thee Silver Mt Zion, Suuns, tUnE-YaRds, Grand Trine, Kalmunity, the SMCQ and more.

Originally from Washington, D.C, Adam grew up under the musical tutelage of a gifted saxophone teacher named Chris Bacas. He continued training at McGill University’s faculty of music, and studied with some of the great Canadian saxophonists there.

Nowadays, Adam is working on solo saxophone performances, writing music for his band Marathon and dreaming about playing with Make A Circus again. He’s also a freelance writer and copyeditor.
